Windows NT security summary :: essays research papers
Winders NT Security NT was introduced in 1993 and quickly became a popular platform for client-server environments. NT is based on 32-bit architecture so it provides many features like multi-tasking, resource sharing and high availability of resources. NT provides increased security over older operating systems like Windows 9x and UNIX. Ã Ã Ã Ã Ã NT has both server and client versions. The client version of NT does not have as many features or capability. The Server version can handle 256 connections while client version can only do one. Global security management functions are not supported by client version either. Ã Ã Ã Ã Ã NT gives an administrator the ability to control user accounts and groups. Domains are used to contain machines in groups. This can be used as an administrative tool to control users privileges and access to system resources and data. It can also be useful for updating and stuff like that. One machine in a domain is set as the controlling system and from that machine a security policy can be created and enforced on the entire domain. Backup domain controllers are recommended. Machines on a domain share a user database which allows a user to have a single ID and easily sign on to any machine as long as its in the domain. NT uses the ideal of trusted domains. If a user authenticates to his primary domain, he is free to access any other sub domains as long as that domain trusts the primary domain. (Pass through validation) Domain trusting allows for a user who does not have an ID on a given domain to still gain access to it as long as the user is validated on the primary domain, however, what permissions the user has is dictated by the Admin of the domain he is a guest in. Domains make it easier to control users, machines, and what goes on. It is useful in enforcing policies on groups and restricting the rights of users. Security issues are minimized in remoter applications because there is no need for someone at each site to be in charge of security and policy enforcement. One Admin can group remote sites into their individual domains and provide increased security from his desk. User accounts come in both local and Domain flavors. This means a user can be restricted to using only the local machine or any machine on the domain. NT has a guest account, recommended password protecting it.
Gregor Mendels Theories Of Genetic Inheritance :: essays research papers
Gregor Mendel's Theories of Genetic Inheritance Gregor Mendel played a huge role in the underlying principles of genetic inheritance. He grew up in a Augustinian brotherhood where he learned agricultural training with basic education. He then went on to the Olmutz Philisophical Institute and then entered the Augustinian Monestary in 1843. After 3 years of theological studies, Mendel went to the University of Vienna where he was influenced by 2 professors, the physicist Doppler and a botanist named Unger. Here he learned to study science through experimentation and aroused his interest in the causes of variation in plants. Then in 1857, Mendel began breeding garden peas in the abbey garen to study inheritance which lead to his law of Segregation and independent assortment. Ã Ã Ã Ã Ã Mendel's Law of Segregation stated that the members of a paror of homologous chromosomes segregate during meiosis and are distributed to different gametes. This hypothesis can be divided into four main ideas. The first idea is that alternative versions of genes account for variations in inherited characters. Different alleles will create different variations in inherited characters. The sescond idea is that for each character, an organism inherits two genes, one form each parent. So this means that a homolohous loci may have matching alleles, as in the true-breeding plants of Mendel's P generation(parental). If the alleles differ, then there will be F hybrids. The third idea states that if the two alleles differ, the receessive allele will have no affect on the organism's appearance. So a F hybrid plant that has purple flowers, the dominant allele will be the purple-color allele and the recessive allele would be the white-color allele.

Transcultural Nursing Essay -- cultural competency, holistic nursing p
Introduction Diversity of the worldââ¬â¢s population has reached a point where it is vital to address and more importantly to understand, the ever growing challenge that transcultural nursing poses to the nursing profession. Addressing this issue avoids discrimination and promotes equality within holistic nursing practice in order to meet patientsââ¬â¢ needs. Health care professionals should be qualified to deliver, on a daily basis, proficient care and sensitive skilled communication to culturally different individuals (Maier-Lorentz, 2008). To exercise professional nursing in a conceptual way holistic nursing care focuses on physical, emotional, social, environmental and spiritual aspects as well as on the idea that any individual involved in treatment care should be treated as a whole and with dignity (Dossey & Guzzetta, 2005). One of the areas to be discussed is Transcultural Nursing and Leiningerââ¬â¢s Transcultural Theory of Culture Care Diversity and Universality and its research enablers: the Sunrise Enabler and the Ethnonursing Method. Another area will be Holistic Nursing Practice and Nightingaleââ¬â¢s Nursing Theory of Environmental Adaptation as well as the liaison between Transcultural Nursing and Holistic Nursing Practice. Nightingaleââ¬â¢s theory has been chosen over others because she was the first to acknowledge nursesââ¬â¢ work in a theoretical framework and also because she was considered to be the mother of nursing practices (Ellis, 2008). The development of culture care theory introduced health care professionals into a new nursing dimension formed by issues such as culture background, spirituality, environment and others that demonstrated how culture and health care are linked (Leininger, 2002a). English Literature Romantic Period
Breeana Whitehead The nontextual matter in amativeism The holds of William Woodsworth and William Blake be some of galore(postnominal) great exercisings of amative literary whole kit and caboodle. romanticisticism was an deviceistic and adroit action that began in Europe in the previous(predicate) 1800s. It was a reaction to the Industrial novelty as illustrated in William Woodsworths Michael. This metrical composition mourns the changes made by the Industrial gyration. In Romantic texts, everything written is out of the prevailaday and very sham. The characters in a amatory piece of literature are created from energy and the plot is often in speculative places. All pieces of art and intellect were nothing alone fantasy put to paper in one form or another. thither is nothing realistic about Romantic literature. This is the Romantic Period. Every piece of art, whether it is practice of medicine or paintings or drawings or literature, was created to even up their proofreaders think about their own emotions inside the art. William Blake displays the Romanticism in his song tend of Love by showing discussing an eyeshot of spirituality. He shows how with religion there is a disconnect of freedom. The metrical composition speaks of a chapel that was built where the speaker, whether Blake or an unknown character, employ to play. The speaker notices a sign dictum Thou Shall Not on the access of the chapel and so he turned to the garden of love. The speaker soon notices that there are tombstones where flowers should be, and priests were walking around in black binding the characters joys and desires. This shows the captivity that Blake believed came to a psyche when that person claimed religion. This shows a free thought that rise expresses the idea of Romanticism. This shows the quick freedom that the Romantic Period brought forth. William Woodsworth showed Romanticism in his many works, such as his poem, Michael. Woodsworth roma nticizes or dreams up the characters of Michael and Luke. Michael is a shepherd that lives in the woodland side of Grasmere Vale, and Luke was his son. Michaels family happily lives kill in this beautiful countryside when a pecuniary burden falls upon them because of a suffer that Michael had signed. Instead of selling his land, Michael sends Luke off to work to pay off this debt. While foregone Luke prospers well for himself at first save them falls into a criminal force and has to flee. Michael mourns the loss of his son and soon thereafter Michael and Isabel, Michaels wife, both die. This poem is a good framework of the changes from the Industrial Revolution that spurred the Romantic Movement simply it is excessively a great example of the fictional aspect of Romanticism. Another brilliant example of Romantic literature is the poem, Hymn to cerebral cup of tea by Percy Shelley. In this poem Shelley turns private to this idea of intellectual kayo. This beauty is an int angible, spiritual idea that is different for everyone. This intellectual beauty becomes the freedom from the doom and sombreness that Shelley describes the world to be.The spiritual aspect and ruttish pull of this poem makes it a perfective aspect illustration of a Romantic poem. The literature and other arts from the Romantic flow were created to create emotion within a person and to make them think about their emotions. This poem does a great contemplate at forcing its reader to look inward to determine his or her own intellectual beauty, whether it be love or entrust or self-esteem. A final example of a Romantic poem is master Byrons When We Two Parted. This poem unquestionably pulls at a readers heartstrings. The poem dialogue about two people who were lovers but something happened to break them apart. It seems that one of the two in the relationship had had an affair or somehow broke their vows and forced a insularism between the two lovers. Byrons poem brings out the emotions of the audience. The Romantic Age was essentially an era of an outpouring of retrieveings. All of the works of this time period were based on an effort to make their audience feel something. The works were of religious and intellectual standards that caused the reader or the observer to stop his or her own life for a sulfur and contemplate a deeper meaning to the work and to life.Artists and authors such as William Blake in his poem Garden of Love, William Woodsworth in his poem Michael, Percy Shelley in his Hymn to Intellectual Beauty, and Lord Byron in his emotional poem, When We Two Parted, developed pieces of art that brought this emotional appeal to the table. These pieces of literature found and explain Romanticism and the Romantic while perfectly with everything from the fantasy and fictional characters and plots and settings in the pieces such as Michael, to the emotional aspects as shown in Hymn to Intellectual Beauty and in When We Two Parted.
